2 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 0 costs, 2 mixed.
Flood zone changes can alter insurance costs
If you live or own property in one of the listed communities, your property's flood zone may have changed because FEMA finalized new Base Flood Elevations (BFEs), base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) boundaries, zone designations, or regulatory floodways. This can change flood insurance purchase rules and may increase or decrease your insurance costs, so check your flood zone and insurance needs soon to avoid surprises.
LOMRs revise official flood maps now
FEMA finalized Letters of Map Revision (LOMRs) that revise the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) and, in some cases, the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) reports for the listed communities. These revised maps replace the previously effective FIRMs/FIS for those communities, so local officials, lenders, insurers, and property owners in the listed communities should consult the new determinations.
