Altana Added as Identity Partner
Beginning in February 2024, U.S. Customs and Border Protection added Altana Technologies USG Inc. as a new Identity Management Company (IMC) for the Global Business Identifier (GBI) Test. If you are a business that imports or exports, the addition of another IMC could make it easier or faster to submit the required GBI codes when filing with CBP.
New Process For Additional IMCs
CBP established a process allowing other Identity Management Companies (IMCs) to support the Global Business Identifier Test starting February 2024. If you run an importing or exporting business, more IMCs participating could help keep your paperwork moving and provide more options for submitting GBIs to CBP.
