Large Appalachian pipeline proposal

Eastern Gas Transmission and Storage proposes to build about 3.9 miles of 30-inch pipeline, add compression at two existing compressor stations, and build/modify metering stations in Armstrong, Greene and Westmoreland Counties, Pennsylvania, and Monroe County, Ohio. The deadline to file a motion to intervene or submit comments or protests is 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on August 28, 2025; only intervenors can request rehearing of Commission orders and later challenge those orders in court.

Pennsylvania water quality certification required

EGTS stated a Clean Water Act section 401 water quality certification is required from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) Regional Permitting Coordination Office for this project; EGTS must submit a copy of the certification request and either the PADEP decision or evidence of waiver to FERC when available.
