Flood Map Changes Affect Insurance Costs
FEMA is proposing changes to flood maps that may modify Base Flood Elevations (BFE), Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) boundaries, zone designations, base flood depths, or regulatory floodways for specific communities. You (residents and property owners in affected communities) may see changes to local floodplain rules and to your flood insurance costs if your property's designation changes.
Communities Must Adopt NFIP Measures
