Flood maps changed — insurance may change
Some communities have new or updated flood risk data (for example, Base Flood Elevations, base flood depths, SFHA boundaries, zone designations, or the regulatory floodway) shown on updated Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs). If you live in or own property in those communities, your flood insurance rules and costs might change, so check the new maps and letters soon; the changes take effect as soon as the new letters arrive.
Use updated community number for policies
FEMA revised the Flood Insurance Rate Maps and, where applicable, Flood Insurance Study reports through issuance of Letters of Map Revision (LOMRs). The notice states the current effective community number shown in the table must be used for all new flood insurance policies and renewals.
