GEMX Lowers Options Regulatory Fee
Starting October 1, 2025, Nasdaq GEMX will lower its Options Regulatory Fee (ORF) from $0.0009 to $0.0002 per contract side. That is a reduction of $0.0007 per contract side, so traders and firms that pay the ORF on customer options trades will pay less per contract starting on that date.
Who Pays the ORF
The ORF is assessed for each Customer option transaction that is either executed by a GEMX Member on GEMX or cleared by a GEMX Member at the Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) in the Customer range, even if the trade executed on another exchange. In those cases the ORF is charged per contract side to the member or clearing account responsible under GEMX's rules.
