120-Day Freeze on Dispute Changes

If you are an employee of the Long Island Rail Road represented by the Transportation Communications Union, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, or International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, the parties may not make any change in the conditions out of which the disputes arose for 120 days from September 18, 2025, except by agreement of the parties.

30-Day Emergency Board Report Requirement

An Emergency Board of three members was created effective 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time on September 18, 2025 to investigate the disputes and must report to the President within 30 days of its creation.
