Southern Natural Gas (a Kinder Morgan subsidiary) is asking to extend a special permit by 997 feet (about 0.19 miles) for a 36-inch, 1,200 psi pipeline segment in Harris County, Georgia. If approved, that extension would make the total special permit segments 3,720 feet (about 0.70 miles) under special permit PHMSA-2020-0007 (permit granted July 27, 2022 and effective until July 27, 2032). PHMSA is accepting public comments on safety, environmental, and other considerations through December 1, 2025.
