Kenai LNG project deadline extended request
Trans-Foreland asked the Commission on November 12, 2025 for an extension until December 17, 2028 to construct and place into service the Kenai LNG Cool Down Project in Nikiski, Alaska. The Order originally required completion by December 17, 2022 and was previously extended to December 17, 2025. Trans-Foreland says natural gas demand in southcentral Alaska is projected to exceed supply beginning in 2027 and is amending the Project to address that forecasted need.
