Deadline to Request Extra Studies

Minimum Flow Will Remain 55 cfs

If you live near the Saranac River in New York, the Village proposes to continue releasing a minimum flow of 55 cubic feet per second (cfs) or inflow, whichever is less, measured immediately downstream of the Lake Flower Dam.

Recreation Sites Will Be Maintained

If you use the Lake Flower impoundment or nearby Saranac River parks in New York, the Village proposes to continue maintaining Riverside Park, Hydropoint Park, Beaver Park, and the River Walk, including hand-carry boat access and a recreation trail.

Wildlife and Invasive Species Plans Filed

The Village proposes to implement invasive species controls and bat and bald eagle protection plans, plus an impoundment drawdown plan and an operation and compliance monitoring plan as part of the relicensing for the Lake Flower Dam project in New York.
