One-stop NASA STEM application portal
You can apply to NASA internships, fellowships, challenges, educator professional development, and experiential learning activities in a single online place called the NASA STEM Gateway. NASA says it will develop updates and enhancements to improve the information collected and the overall user experience for applicants.
Estimated time burden for applicants
NASA estimates 315,000 annual responses to the Gateway, with an average time per response of 30 minutes and a total annual burden of 157,500 hours. The estimate is based on 50 activities and about 6,300 respondents per activity.
Parental consent for teen applicants
Parents or caregivers may voluntarily provide consent for eligible student applicants who are at least 14 years of age but under the age of 18 (ages 14–17) to apply to NASA STEM engagement opportunities through the Gateway. This consent is part of the information collection process for minor applicants.
