You have until January 20, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time to file comments, protests, or motions to intervene about Green Mountain Power's applications for the Weybridge (P-2731-045) and Middlebury Lower (P-2737-028) projects. License Extension Keeps Plants Operating to 2041

Green Mountain Power requests extending the Weybridge and Middlebury Lower licenses from July 31, 2031, to July 31, 2041 so the company can recoup rehabilitation costs. The request would allow the projects to continue operating without changing how much electricity they produce; the authorized installed capacity remains 3.0 megawatts.

Turbine Upgrade With Minimal Disturbance

The licensee plans turbine runner replacements at both projects and proposes replacing the Weybridge turbine runner; the upgrade would keep installed capacity at 3.0 megawatts but reduce the powerhouse maximum hydraulic capacity from 1,600 cubic feet per second to 1,590 cfs. All proposed construction at Weybridge would occur inside the existing powerhouse, be isolated from the river, use the existing access road, and would not require ground disturbance.
