Finalized Flood Zone Changes
FEMA finalized changes to Base (1-percent annual chance) Flood Elevations, Special Flood Hazard Area boundaries, and regulatory floodways for the communities listed in the notice, with LOMRs finalized on dates between Oct. 14, 2025 and Nov. 17, 2025. If you live, lease, or own property in those listed communities in AZ, CA, CO, ID, SD, or UT, your flood insurance rates or whether you must carry flood insurance might change—check the FEMA Map Service Center or your community map repository for the final maps.
Community NFIP Requirement Update
FEMA states the new or modified flood hazard information is the basis for floodplain management measures that each listed community is required either to adopt or to show are already in effect in order to remain qualified for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). If your community adopts new or stricter floodplain requirements because of these LOMRs, local building rules or floodplain controls and related costs for property owners may change.
