NASA employee reimbursement records
If you are a NASA employee, your financial records for reimbursement payments (travel, purchase of books, or other miscellaneous items) are covered by the updated NASA Core Financial Management Records (CFMR) system of records. The change is noticed on February 3, 2026, and the modification will take effect 30 calendar days later (March 5, 2026) if no significant adverse comments are received.
External funders may receive payment data
Organizers of symposiums, conferences, and workshops that have provided funds to NASA employees may receive financial records from NASA to process payments or collections for activities (for example, attending conferences, travel, training, or other assignments). This routine-use clarification is part of the CFMR modification announced February 3, 2026 and becomes effective March 5, 2026 if no significant adverse comments are received within 30 calendar days.
