Council May Adopt Fishing Rules

Between March 3-9, 2026 the Pacific Fishery Management Council will consider and may take final actions that could transmit proposed fishery management plans, plan amendments, or proposed regulations to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce under Sections 304 or 305 of the Magnuson-Stevens Act. Agenda items include adopting 2026 management alternatives for public review, inseason adjustments (final action), and initial harvest specifications for 2027-28.

Public Can Watch and Comment Remotely

The Pacific Council meeting will be live streamed starting March 5, 2026 (9 a.m. PT) and March 6-9, 2026 (8 a.m. PT). You can listen to the audio (listen-only) and there will be an opportunity for oral public comment prior to Council Action on each agenda item. Briefing materials will be posted on the Pacific Council website no later than February 13, 2026, and requests for sign language or other aids should be made at least 10 business days before the meeting.
