U.S. Extends Duties on China Kitchen Appliance Racks

Published Date: 4/13/2026

Notice

Summary

The U.S. is keeping special taxes on kitchen appliance shelves and racks from China because stopping them could hurt American businesses. These taxes, called antidumping and countervailing duties, help keep prices fair and protect U.S. makers. This decision started April 1, 2026, and means importers will still pay extra fees on these products.

Importers Must Continue Paying Duties

If you import the covered kitchen appliance shelving and racks from the People’s Republic of China, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will continue to collect antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) cash deposits at the rates in effect at the time of entry. This continuation is effective April 1, 2026.

Orders Continue To Protect U.S. Industry

Commerce and the International Trade Commission found that ending the AD and CVD orders would likely lead to dumping, countervailable subsidies, and material injury to a U.S. industry. As a result, the AD and CVD orders on these products are continued to protect U.S. producers, effective April 1, 2026.

Products and Codes Covered by Orders

The Orders apply to certain kitchen appliance shelving, baskets, racks, side racks, and subframes made of carbon or stainless steel with specified dimension ranges and wire thickness (0.050 to 0.500 inch) and optional sheet metal thickness (0.020 to 0.2 inch). The notice lists applicable HTSUS statistical reporting numbers including 8418.99.8050, 7321.90.5000, 8516.90.8000, and others; these products imported from China are subject to the continued AD and CVD measures as of April 1, 2026.
