Deadline to Protest Filed Surveys
If you want to challenge any of these plats of survey, your written notice of protest must be received at the BLM Colorado State Office no later than May 15, 2026. If your protest is received before that date, the official filing of the plat(s) you protest will be stayed until the protest is resolved, and any supporting statement of reasons must be filed within 30 days after the notice of protest is received.

You can view the plats of survey for free at the BLM Colorado State Office Public Room (Denver Federal Center, Building 40, Lakewood, Colorado 80225). If you want a copy, you may obtain survey records from the Public Room at the BLM Colorado State Office, P.O. Box 151029, Lakewood, CO 80215, upon required payment.
Protest Filings May Be Public
If you include your address, phone, email, or other personal information in a protest, those documents may be made publicly available in their entirety. You can ask the BLM to withhold your personal information from public review, but the agency cannot guarantee it will be able to do so.
Specific Plats and Acceptance Dates Listed
The notice lists specific plats of survey and their acceptance dates: Township 8 South, Range 91 West (accepted July 22, 2025), Township 2 North, Range 70 West (accepted September 30, 2025), Township 46 North, Range 12 East (accepted January 21, 2026), and Township 35 North, Range 8 West (accepted February 12, 2026). These plats are scheduled for official filing in Colorado.
