5.46 Acres Approved for Sale
The FAA is reviewing a request to waive the aeronautical-use requirement and release 5.46 acres of Hesler Noble Airfield land so it can be sold. The current lessee, NES Laurel, LLC, is the buyer named in the request and the FAA may approve the release after the public comment period ending May 18, 2026.
Sale Proceeds Must Fund Airport Work
If the 5.46-acre parcel is sold, the airport must receive fair market value for the property and the net proceeds will be used for maintenance and improvements at Hesler Noble Airfield. The FAA cites 49 U.S.C. 47107(c)(2)(B)(i) as the authority for receiving fair market value.
