Temporary Waterway Access Ban for Fireworks
If you plan to be on the Keweenaw Waterway in Hancock, MI, you may not enter the area within a radius of 1120 feet from the fireworks launch site at position 47°07'22" N, 088°24'56" W on June 13, 2026, from 10:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Entry is prohibited unless you get specific authorization from the Captain of the Port Marine Safety Unit Duluth or their designated representative; to request permission, contact them on VHF-FM channel 16.
