Electronic Filing Requirement for Participants

Participants in the test must submit export manifest data electronically to ACE at least four hours prior to cargo loading. The notice lists mandatory, conditional, and optional data elements (for example: exporting carrier, flight number, air waybill number, shipper/consignee, weight, hazmat indicator), and states the capability is intended to reduce costs for the trade community and improve facilitation.

Two‑Year Renewal of Air Cargo Test

CBP is renewing the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Export Manifest for Air Cargo Test effective May 6, 2026. The test will run for an additional two years from that date (until May 6, 2028).

Voluntary Participation — No Fees

If you are involved in air cargo exports, you may join the voluntary ACE Export Manifest for Air Cargo Test at any time during the test period by emailing CBP. The notice states applications are accepted at any time during the test and participation carries no extra fees.
