Taiwan Aluminum Skips U.S. Market, Dodges Duty Check
Published Date: 5/14/2026

Summary
The U.S. Department of Commerce checked if C.S. Aluminium Corporation from Taiwan sold any common alloy aluminum sheets in the U.S. between April 2024 and March 2025 and found they didn’t ship any. This means no new antidumping duties will be added for that period, but people can still share their thoughts before the final decision. This update keeps U.S. aluminum makers and importers in the loop about trade rules and money matters.

Importer Reimbursement Certificate Requirement
Importers must file a certificate about reimbursement of antidumping duties before liquidation of relevant entries for this review period. Under 19 CFR 351.402(f), failure to file that certificate can lead Commerce to presume reimbursement occurred and to assess double antidumping duties on those entries.
No CSAC Shipments for 2024–2025
Commerce preliminarily found that C.S. Aluminium Corporation (CSAC) made no shipments of common alloy aluminum sheet to the United States during the period April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025. If this no-shipments finding is kept in the final results, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will be instructed to liquidate suspended entries produced by CSAC from that period at the all-others rate if there is no company-specific rate.
