Summary
The Department of Energy is asking to keep collecting info for its energy loan guarantee program for three more years. This affects businesses applying for energy project loans and invites the public to share thoughts by June 17, 2026. No new fees or costs are mentioned, but the DOE wants to make sure the info they collect is useful and not too much trouble.

2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.
Three-year extension of loan application filing
The Department of Energy is asking OMB to approve continuing the information collection for the Title 17 Energy Financing Program for three years under OMB Control No. 1910-5134. DOE estimates 100 respondents per year, a total of 13,250 burden hours annually, and a reporting cost burden of $3,371,100 per year (about $33,711 per respondent).
14-hour paperwork reduction from law change
Because Public Law 119-21 (Section 50403, enacted July 4, 2025) removed the statutory requirement for a required "Community Benefits Plan," DOE says each application now omits 14 hours of that prior paperwork. DOE notes it previously used a 132.5-hour estimate per application and adjusted that amount to reflect the 14-hour removal.
