Better menopause care review for veterans

If enacted, the Comptroller General (GAO) would study menopause care for veterans at and through the VA. The study would cover perimenopause, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, and menopause. A public report would be due within 18 months of enactment, with findings and recommendations. It would review training, diagnosis and treatment, referrals to community care, and assess access, outreach, quality, feedback, and research use. Within 6 months of the report, VA would submit a plan to implement the recommendations and improve access and quality.
