- Families and children would benefit from targeted identification and assessment of environmental and safety risks to infants, children, and adolescents and from guidance on safer chemical management.
- Local educational agencies would receive published resources to establish, maintain, or enhance school environmental health programs.
- EPA and federal partners would gain a Director-level office that coordinates grants, research, community programs, and serves as co-chair on the President's Task Force, supported by a permanent Children's Health Protection Advisory Committee subject to the Federal Advisory Committee Act.
*The bill would authorize $7.8 million annually beginning in fiscal year 2026 for the Office and an additional $13.2 million per year for fiscal years 2026–2030 for related activities, increasing federal spending by those amounts.*
