Would expand VA grant authority to help homeless veterans get and coordinate benefits and to convert housing units into permanent homes. It adds two new grant activities. One lets grantees assist veterans in obtaining VA benefits and coordinating other federal, state, local, or nonprofit supports. The other explicitly allows converting existing facilities or units into permanent housing as an eligible facility-related activity.
