Sponsored By: Representative Rep. Neguse, Joe [D-CO-2]

Rehire and fill National Park jobs

Within 30 days of enactment, the Interior Secretary would fill vacant park and maintenance jobs, using existing funds. The Department would reinstate any National Park Service workers involuntarily removed between January 20, 2025, and enactment. This could restore pay and job security for affected employees and improve visitor safety and services.

Keep funded National Park projects going

If enacted, the Interior Secretary would keep carrying out park projects that already have money. This includes projects funded under the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act, the Great American Outdoors Act, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. It would apply only to projects already authorized or appropriated, helping avoid pauses in maintenance, construction, and services.
