Summary

Full-year contraceptive supply for enrolled veterans. This bill would require the Department of Veterans Affairs to offer a 12-month supply of contraceptive pills, transdermal patches, vaginal rings, and other contraceptive products when a VA medical provider prescribes them. Veterans must be enrolled in the VA annual patient enrollment system to use the option. Prescribers must inform veterans that they can elect a full-year supply. The definition covers drugs, devices, and biological products approved under FDA or Public Health Service authorities.
