Keep tribal housing aid during funding lapses

If enacted, this bill would set aside $1.6 billion for fiscal year 2026. The money would be used only if HUD faces a funding lapse that starts on or after enactment. It would pay staff and keep tribal housing programs running, including issuing and processing grant notices and other needed actions. It would keep Section 184 and 184A home loan guarantees and payments going. It would also let HUD manage funds already obligated to tribes. HUD would need to report to Congress within 90 days after a lapse starts on how the money was used.
