More summer food help for families

This bill would require the Agriculture Secretary to pay each State that runs the summer electronic benefits transfer program for children 90 percent of the State’s monthly administrative costs for two programs: the summer EBT for children and SNAP. Payments would go to the State agency that runs those programs for each fiscal year the State operates the summer EBT program. Families would not get money directly, but children and SNAP recipients could benefit if states keep or improve summer benefit access. The bill does not change who is eligible for benefits; it only reimburses state administrative costs.
