Summary
Honoring Bayard Rustin with a forever stamp. This bill would require the Postmaster General to issue a forever stamp depicting Bayard Rustin. It sets out nine findings about his life and work, noting his 1912 birth and Quaker upbringing, student activism and role in the 1947 Journey to Reconciliation, advising Martin Luther King Jr., leading the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, later advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, and labor organizing including co‑founding the A. Philip Randolph Institute. The stamp must be issued as soon as practicable.
