Summary
This bill would require U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection vehicles used for civil immigration enforcement to display license plates on the outside of each vehicle that are visible to the public at all times. The requirement would apply to both privately owned and government owned vehicles and would tie federal funds for purchase, lease, rent, or other use of those vehicles to the display rule, covering activities under the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1101) and using a "notwithstanding" clause to supersede conflicting law.

If enacted, the bill would require ICE and CBP to display each vehicle's license plate on the outside so the public can see it. It would cover both privately owned and government vehicles and would operate notwithstanding other law. The requirement would take effect upon enactment.
