Ban on plastic pellet discharges for businesses

This bill would require the EPA to issue a final rule within 60 days. The rule would ban discharge of plastic pellets and other pre-production plastic materials into wastewater and runoff. The ban would apply to facilities under 40 C.F.R. part 414 or part 463 as in effect on the date of enactment and to any Clean Water Act point source that makes, uses, packages, or transports these materials. EPA and state permits under Clean Water Act section 402 and standards under section 312(p) would have to include this prohibition.
