Supporting the goals and ideals of Social Work Month and World Social Work Day on March 17, 2026.

Supports the goals and ideals of Social Work Month and World Social Work Day. This resolution would recognize the contributions of millions of social workers who promote health, advance social justice, reduce poverty and homelessness, support veterans and family caregivers, and provide mental and behavioral health services across hospitals, schools, community centers, Veterans Affairs clinics, and other settings. It would encourage ceremonies and public activities to raise awareness of the profession, highlight the theme “Social Work: Compassion + Action,” and note projected workforce growth to over 800,000 by 2033 and the need for investment in recruitment and retention.
