Would designate May 4–10, 2025 as Public Service Recognition Week to honor federal, state, and local government employees and members of the uniformed services. It would commend millions who provide essential services like defending freedom, delivering mail, administering Social Security and Medicare benefits, fighting disease, protecting parks and the environment, teaching, responding to disasters, and supporting veterans, and it would encourage celebration and recruitment of public service careers.
