More Impact Aid funding for schools
If enacted, the bill would authorize multi-year funding for Impact Aid for FY2026–FY2031. It would authorize basic payments under section 7003(b) rising from about $1.63 billion in FY2026 to about $2.45 billion in FY2031. It would authorize payments for federal land acquisition (section 7002) from about $90.3 million in FY2026 to about $150.3 million in FY2031. It would authorize payments for children with disabilities (section 7003(d)) from about $60.3 million in FY2026 to about $120.3 million in FY2031. It would authorize construction funding (section 7007) from about $22.9 million in FY2026 to about $45.4 million in FY2031. These are authorizations only; Congress would still need to appropriate the money. If appropriated, eligible school districts and the students they serve could receive more Impact Aid funding.
