The law adds the parcels listed in Appendix A to Lawrenceville, but only if voters in that area approve the annexation. The special election is held on the 2026 general primary election date. The county must publish notice once a week for two weeks before the vote, place the Yes/No annexation question on the ballot, and certify results to the Secretary of State. If more than half vote Yes, the annexation takes effect December 31, 2026; people and property there follow Lawrenceville ordinances, get city services, and pay city taxes starting then. If the vote fails, the Act is repealed on July 1 after the election and no annexation occurs. The City of Lawrenceville must pay any extra costs caused by adding this referendum, and conflicting laws are repealed.
