More aid for Purchase students and faculty

Purchase College’s Board of Trustees must split all lease money under this law. 75% goes to student financial aid for New York State resident students who qualify for a federal Pell Grant or a New York Tuition Assistance Award or supplemental tuition help under state law. 25% supports current and new full‑time faculty positions at Purchase College. The law takes effect immediately.

New approvals for SUNY Purchase leases

Any SUNY contracts or leases with the Purchase College Advancement Corporation under this law must be approved. The Attorney General must approve the form. The Director of the Budget and the State Comptroller must also approve. The law takes effect immediately.
