75% disability pension for Stacie Stueber

The law grants Stacie Stueber a 75% accidental disability retirement benefit. She is the surviving spouse of Richard Stueber, a Suffolk County deputy sheriff. He retired on March 1, 2019 and took part in World Trade Center rescue, recovery, or cleanup. The state retirement system found on March 12, 2020 that he was permanently incapacitated from that work. Payments are due from March 1, 2019, the date of his retirement.

Suffolk County covers all costs

Suffolk County must pay all costs to carry out this law. This includes funding the 75% accidental disability retirement benefit. The law sets no dollar amount. The county covers the cost from its budget.
