Title 10 › Subtitle Subtitle F— - Alternative Military Personnel Systems › Part PART I— - SPACE FORCE › Chapter CHAPTER 2003— - STATUS AND PARTICIPATION › § 20106
Space Force members who are in a space force active status but not on sustained duty can be ordered to active or inactive duty without agreeing to it. The same rules that let Reserve members be called up under chapter 1209 and other laws apply to them. If a member is an Individual Ready Guardian who meets section 20102(b), the rules in section 12304 apply. Members in a space force inactive status can be called up under chapter 1209, other laws that allow inactive reservists to be ordered, or any agreement the member signed under section 20103. Standby Reserve rules apply to those in inactive service. Retired Space Force members can be ordered to active duty under chapters 39 and 1209, and the rules in sections 688, 688a, 12407, and 689 apply. The chapter 1209 sections 12305, 12308, 12313, 12314, 12315, 12316, 12317, and 12320 also apply to Space Force members called to active duty in the same way they apply to Reserve or Retired Reserve members.
