Defines "State bank" to mean banks and similar institutions that take deposits (including savings banks but not mutual savings banks) and are incorporated under a State, a U.S. Territory, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, or the District of Columbia code. For mergers, the terms "national banking association" and "State bank" can each mean one or more of those institutions.
