Title 15 › Chapter CHAPTER 15D— - ALASKA NATURAL GAS PIPELINE › § 720
Defines key words used in the chapter. Alaska natural gas means natural gas from the part of Alaska north of 64 degrees north latitude. Alaska natural gas transportation project means a pipeline system that moves that gas to the Alaska–Canada border, including related facilities, when authorized under the Alaska Natural Gas Transportation Act of 1976 (15 U.S.C. 719 et seq.) or under section 720a. Alaska natural gas transportation system means the project authorized under the 1976 Act and described in section 2 of the President’s decision. Commission means the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Federal Coordinator means the head of the Office of the Federal Coordinator for Alaska Natural Gas Transportation Projects (created by section 720d(a)). President’s decision means the report and decision issued by the President on September 22, 1977, under section 7 of the 1976 Act and approved by Public Law 95–158. Secretary means the Secretary of Energy. State means the State of Alaska.
