Title 15 › Chapter CHAPTER 15D— - ALASKA NATURAL GAS PIPELINE › § 720f
Facilities that get natural gas from an Alaska natural gas transportation project for delivery inside Alaska must be treated like local distribution lines and are not regulated by the Commission. Future pipelines to bring gas to Fairbanks, Anchorage, Matanuska-Susitna Valley, the Kenai Peninsula, Valdez, or any other Alaska site for use in the State or for sending gas out of state are not blocked or changed by this chapter, except as stated in section 720a(d). The Commission must set the transportation rates for any Alaska natural gas transportation project. The Commission must talk with the State about those rates, including any rate settlements, for gas moved and delivered for use inside Alaska, under section 17(b) of the Natural Gas Act (15 U.S.C. 717p(b)).
