Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 2— - NATIONAL FORESTS › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - ESTABLISHMENT AND ADMINISTRATION › § 519a
If land in townships 1, 2, and 3 north, ranges 9–13 in Forest and Perry Counties, Mississippi, bought under the Act of March 1, 1911, is mainly needed for a National Guard encampment and related military uses, the Secretary of Agriculture may give full ownership of that land to the State of Mississippi or to the Department of the Army. Before the transfer happens, the Treasury must be paid or credited the exact amount the Department of Agriculture spent to buy the land, and that money can then be used by the Secretary to buy other lands under the same 1911 Act.
