Adds approximately 146,000 acres to the Big Cypress National Preserve to meet the preserve’s goals, finish the preserve along with the planned construction of Interstate Highway 75, and make sure the Big Cypress Watershed in Florida is used and accessed in a proper way. The Addition follows the April 1987 map numbered 176–91000C, which will be kept at the National Park Service office in Washington, D.C., and filed with Collier County, and the Secretary of the Interior must publish a detailed boundary description in the Federal Register as soon as possible. The area will be called the Big Cypress National Preserve Addition and will be managed under the preserve’s rules. The Secretary must substantially complete the land acquisition program for the Addition within not more than five years after April 29, 1988.
