You can submit nominations for voting members and nominations received on or before March 11, 2025 will be given first consideration for membership on the committee; nominations received after March 11, 2025 will be considered for later vacancies.
Anyone may self-nominate
You or any interested person may nominate one or more qualified individuals for membership, and self-nominations are accepted for voting positions on the committee.
Committee vacancies and membership makeup
Nominations are being accepted for current and upcoming vacancies effective January 1, 2025; the committee will include five general public representatives and five government representatives and has a core of 15 voting members including the Chair.
Terms up to four years
If selected, members are invited to serve overlapping terms of up to 4 years; terms longer than 2 years depend on renewal of the committee before its expiration.
Nomination documents and conflict disclosures required
To be considered, nominations must include a current résumé or curriculum vitae with contact information and a signed Acknowledgement and Consent form; potential candidates will be asked to provide detailed information on financial holdings, employment, and research grants or contracts so FDA can evaluate conflicts of interest.
