The EPA fixed a tiny but important typo in their water safety numbers for three chemicals called PFOA, PFOS, and PFBS. EPA corrects PFAS draft safety numbers

You should note that the EPA corrected draft human-health water-quality numbers for three PFAS chemicals. The PFOA 'organism-only' human health criterion was corrected from 0.00036 ng/L to 0.0036 ng/L; the table lists PFOA water+organism 0.0009 ng/L, PFOS water+organism 0.06 ng/L and organism-only 0.07 ng/L, and PFBS water+organism 400 ng/L and organism-only 500 ng/L. If you want to comment on these draft criteria, send comments by February 24, 2025.
