Replace Faulty Fire Extinguishers Now
The FAA proposes a rule for all Airbus Canada Model BD-500-1A10 and BD-500-1A11 airplanes that would require replacing affected low rate discharge (LRD) fire-extinguisher bottles, inspecting extinguishing discharge lines and tubes, and replacing those lines and tubes if needed. The proposed rule would also prohibit installing the affected LRD bottles going forward to address a cargo bottle fail caution message and the unsafe condition identified by Transport Canada.
