Transmission transfers may affect energy rates
Several utilities (including The Toledo Edison Company, Ohio Edison Company, and FirstEnergy Pennsylvania Electric Company) filed final accounting entries for the transfer of transmission facilities on filings dated June 12–16, 2025. The notice says these filings change how the companies record those assets and notes they could affect future energy rates; comments on those filings are due at 5:00 p.m. ET on July 7, 2025 (some related filings show July 3, 2025).
