Duties on Wire Rod Could Change Soon
On November 24, 2025 the U.S. International Trade Commission began expedited five-year reviews to decide whether special duties (a countervailing duty on wire rod from Brazil and antidumping duties on wire rod from Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Moldova, and Trinidad and Tobago) should stay or be revoked. The staff report will be available to parties on January 21, 2026 and written comments are due by January 26, 2026; the Commission may extend the review period by up to 90 days. This decision could change costs for importers and may affect prices in the steel market.
