Survey Data Used for Crop Insurance Prices

The USDA Risk Management Agency (RMA) will use the survey's organic price and production data to establish organic-specific price elections for the crop insurance program. NASS will produce national and State estimates (when publishable) from the data collected under a cooperative agreement with RMA.

Certified Organic Farms Must Report Prices

If you run a certified organic farm, NASS will ask you to provide price, sales, and marketing-practice data once a year for the 2026 RMA Organic Price Survey. The survey targets certified organic farms in all 50 States, expects 27,000 respondents, carries a voluntary reporting statement, and reports a total burden of 15,077 hours.
